Tobiano and Talking Rock, two of British Columbia’s best courses according to Golf Advisor’s Jason Deegan

“Savor the courses, lakes and wines in Canada’s undiscovered gem” – we couldn’t agree more! This delightful sentiment comes from Jason Scott Deegan, reviewer of over 1,000 golf courses and a recent visitor to two of BC’s top golf courses – Tobiano and Talking Rock.

During Jason’s inaugural trip to Kamloops, experiencing the “most under-appreciated golf destination in the West,” and an itinerary including six golf courses and three wineries, he’s now a firm believer in the diversity and quality of Kamloops golf course offerings.

Here’s what Jason had to say about playing Tobiano during his trip:

It’s hard to beat a day at Tobiano…The views of Kamloops Lake radiate from the clubhouse and never cease during the round. The wild, rolling terrain over canyons sets up some epic carries. The tee shots on the par-3 seventh and par-5 eighth are downright frightening. Teeing it forward – the 6,200-yard Spur/Lake combo tees are all most golfers can handle – will keep the intimidation factor manageable and the day enjoyable. With five par 3s and five par 5s, there’s endless opportunities to score or throw in a big number if your balls sail offline into the sagebrush.

Thanks for the visit, Jason!
